Baltic Pitching Forum 2017 reveals open sessions

2017.09.28

The fifth edition of Baltic Pitching Forum provides a focus on best short film projects and talented filmmakers currently coming out of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The forum consists of one-day open pitching training, Panel discussion, BPF alumni success stories and one-day open pitching sessions of the selected projects.

We kindly invite everyone who is looking to polish pitching skills of media projects to attend the open lectures and pitching sessions which will take place on 6-7 of October in Vilnius, Lithuania. The forum is perfect for directors, producers and media startups, so make sure you’ll be there!

The first day starts with a pitching lecture “Presenting Yourself and Your Project” led by Gabriele Brunnenmeyer (Germany), an artistic adviser for training initiative project and script adviser now constantly working as media consultant. She is well known for her work with Berlinale Talents, Talent Sarajevo, Maia Workshops and other.

The following is the international panel discussion “The Value of Pitching – the worth and importance of pitching forums”. In this group discussion people running pitching forums and those, taking part in them, will explore the value of those forums. We’ll explore how important they are for conceptualizing ideas, helping networking and – on the odd occasion – gathering money for projects.

For its fifth edition the Baltic Pitching Forum invites its former alumni to come and talk about their experiences and explain just how the BPF helped them to get their films out into the world. This will provide an important opportunity for not only all those involved with the Baltic Pitching Forum to take stock of the past of the few years, but also give new participants an insight into what awaits them in the coming months and years.
The second day is dedicated to the presentations of nine participating projects. Participants from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will get the chance to pitch their projects to the esteemed panel of experts invited for 2017.
