BPF’17 Extends Its Call for Projects Until August 15

2017.08.01

Great news – you still have two more weeks to submit your application form to the 5th Baltic Pitching Forum 2017! Deadline is extended until the 15th of August.

Baltic Pitching Forum is a unique platform of networking and bringing the newest short film projects from the Baltics into the spotlight. The main goal of the Forum is to facilitate interaction, cooperation and coproduction between short filmmakers from Baltics and the rest of the Europe.

Baltic Pitching Forum is a two-day event. The first day of the Forum is dedicated to the pitching training led by Gabriele Brunnenmeyer (Germany) – a consultant for script development, packaging and project presentation for single projects. Gabriele Brunnenmeyer – a former journalist, was the head of MEDIA Antenna Berlin-Brandenburg where she acted as an artistic adviser for the training initiative Moonstone International. She was head of studies for the MEDIA-supported Maia Workshops and is a project and script adviser for Kuratorium Junger Deutscher Film. She coordinates the Incontri Film Conference in Italy and consults for Berlinale Talents, Talents Sarajevo and the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem.

The second day is aimed to present the selected projects for the international panel of 7 members – professionals from the fields of sales, festivals, TV, distribution, production and film commissioning. After the presentations, one-to-one meetings between invited film professionals and participants take place. The official list of panel members will be announced in September.

The international panel will select two best short film projects of the Forum: the representatives of the first project will be awarded with participant rights at the European Short Film Co-production Forum EURO CONNECTION as part of the 40th International Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand taking place in February, 2018. The representatives of second project will be awarded with participant rights at the European Short Pitch by NISI MASA taking place in January and March, 2018.

Baltic Pitching Forum 2017 is organized by Lithuanian Short Film Agency “Lithuanian Shorts” in partnership with Riga International Film Festival (Latvia), Riga International Film Festival 2ANNAS (Latvia), International Short Film Festival Sleepwalkers (Estonia) and Estonian Short Film Center ShortEst.
