Baltic Shorts Residency

BALTIC SHORTS RESIDENCY is an intensive short film script development residency program dedicated to the filmmakers from the Baltic countries who are willing to dive deep into the writing process along with the professional consultations. Its purpose is to give selected scriptwriters or directors the opportunity to develop a new short film script with the help of scriptwriting consultant Anna Ciennik while staying at the most impressive architectural ensembles in the Vilnius region — Trakų Vokė Manor.

At the beginning of the residency, 3 selected participants will have an intensive script development group workshop and individual consultations with Anna Ciennik on site in Trakai Vokė Manor, followed by 2 weekly individual online sessions during the period of the residency (18 May-4 June).

Eligible applicants – film directors and/or scriptwriters who are citizens of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania or have a right of a permanent residence in these mentioned countries. One applicant can submit more than one short film project.

Applicants must have finished at least one short film project (as a scriptwriter or a director) and must be developing a new project which is:
– fiction, anim
ation, hybrid
– stand alone short film (not TV series)
– in the early script development stage (production is estimated not earlier than in 2025)
– up to 30 minutes
– aimed at international audience

The 7th edition of BALTIC SHORTS RESIDENCY will take place in May 18 – June 4 at Trakų Vokė Manor.
