Baltic Shorts Residency

BALTIC SHORTS RESIDENCY is an initiative of Lithuanian Short Film Agency LITHUANIAN SHORTS that started in 2019. BALTIC SHORTS RESIDENCY is a three-week intensive short film script development residency program dedicated to filmmakers from Baltic countries who are willing to dive deep into the writing process along with professional consultations. Its purpose is to give 3 selected participants (one from each Baltic country) the opportunity to be mentored by the creative advisor, script consultant Wim Vanacker (3-day intensive script workshop at the residency location and 2-3 online sessions). After this residency program participant is committed to apply to Baltic Pitching Forum.

The third edition of BALTIC SHORTS RESIDENCY will take place on 1-20 June 2021, in Kintai (Klaipėda region, Lithuania).

Eligible applicants – film directors and/or scriptwriters who are citizens of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania or have a right of a permanent residence in these mentioned countries. One applicant can submit more than one short film project.

Applicants must have finished at least one short film project (as a scriptwriter or a director) and must be developing a new project which is:
● fiction, animation, hybrid
● in the early script development stage
● up to 30 minutes
● aimed at international audience

The registration is closed. All applicants will be informed about selection results by email in the first week of May 2021.
