CineSud is a film hub supporting emerging and established filmmakers and film professionals in the Netherlands and the wider Meuse-Rhine Euregion. We offer talent development programmes, production- and post-production opportunities, professional training and access to regiona, national and international networks. Guido Coppis
Guido Coppis is a self-taught filmmaker from Venray, the Netherlands. After making fourteen short films, many of which screened and won awards internationally, he made his feature debut with BIJT. The film premiered in IFFR’s Bright Future programme in 2024, received two Golden Calf nominations and was released theatrically across the Netherlands.
Together with Nicole Jachmann, Guido founded Lichthuus, a production company dedicated to filmmakers and stories from Limburg. Lichthuus currently has several fiction and documentary projects in development and production. Guido was selected for Rotterdam Lab 2026 as a producer.
Nicole Jachmann
Nicole Jachmann is a writer, director and producer from Beek, the Netherlands. Her work explores themes including gender, family and sexuality, often combining personal perspectives with imaginative worlds. Her short film Funkele premiered at Berlinale Generation 14plus. She is currently developing two feature films: The Part of the Day When You Are Not Here (Les Arcs Talent Village, BoostNL) and Eternal Nearness (Dutch Film Fund TalentScope 2026). Together with Guido Coppis, Nicole founded Lichthuus, a production company dedicated to filmmakers and stories from Limburg, with several fiction and documentary projects currently in development and production.
Nasrin Reshadi
Nasrin Reshadi is a film producer and distributor based in the Netherlands. With a background in cinema, literature, arts management and cultural policy, she works as a producer and distributor at Elbe Stevens Films. Independently, she is active in distribution, impact production and film curation. Her slate spans short and feature-length films across documentary, fiction, hybrid and experimental forms. Drawing on her experience in festival coordination and programming, Nasrin is committed to developing artistically distinctive films and connecting them with wider audiences.
Guido Franken
Guido Franken earned his Masters degree in Film and Television Studies at Utrecht University, where he developed a strong passion for Dutch cinema. He founded NLFilmdoek.nl to promote Dutch film heritage before moving into film production, where he created several award-winning short films and documentaries from 2012 onwards. As director of CineSud, the largest talent development hub for filmmakers in the Netherlands, he focuses on amplifying regional voices and supporting emerging talent. Since 2016, he has also led the Limburg Film Office, which incorporated the Limburg Film Fund in 2020. Dedicated to making the film industry more accessible and inclusive, he established the national network Screen Talent NL and, in 2024, joined the board of the European network Screen Talent Europe.
SHORTO DELEGATION (ITALY)
ShorTO Film Market is the industry event dedicated to the short film ecosystem, organized by the Italian Short Film Center since 2016 and reaching its 11th edition in 2026. The Market aims to stimulate the growth of the international short film and digital audiovisual content industry, with a particular focus on the Italian sector, and to encourage the development of new authors and film professionals on the international scene, renewing the impact of short film production and promotion.
Elena Ciofalo
Elena Ciofalo has ten years of experience in cultural project management between Turin and Aosta. Since October 2025, she has directed the Italian Short Film Center, where she started as Project Manager in 2023. Co-founder of AIACE VDA, which promotes film culture in the Aosta Valley and organizes the Bref International Short Film Festival, she managed historical and civic projects for the Cultural Foundation Polo del ’900 between 2018 and 2023. Formerly a producer for Cinefonie, she has also collaborated with Europe Direct and Creative Europe Desk Italy MEDIA in Turin.
Jacopo Chessa
Jacopo Chessa majored in film history and worked largely on the 1950s and 1960s in French cinema. He has published two books and several articles, and collaborated with the National Film Archive of the Resistance, the University of Turin, and Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle University. Since early 2014, he has been the director of Aiace Nazionale, the first Italian association of art-house cinemas, and the Italian Short Film Center. In 2016, he founded the Torino Short Film Market, which he directed until 2020. He worked as contract professor at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris 3 from 2017 to 2019. Since 2020, he has been the director of the Veneto Film Commission, and since late 2024, he has served as president of Italian Film Commissions.
Margherita Giusti
Lucia CataliniLucia Catalini is an Italian freelance illustrator and animator. A graduate of Brera Academy and ISIA Urbino, she directed the animated short film Né una né due as her 2024 graduation project. She currently collaborates with film production companies, newspapers and magazines, both in Italy and abroad.
